As we approach the last weeks of 2021 I want to just thank God for the good. My mind can easily and more readily check off what’s not where I need it to be and this year has brought some heaviness! But GOD….Having a comfortable home to sleep in is good. Having the activity of our limbs is good. The fact that we can read these words, understand and comprehend it is good. I thank God for the family that is still available to me to reach out to and love on this Christmas season. Even though there has been much loss to me personally, to my family and to friends that I love there has still been good. In 12 days I will be 54 years old and even though there are days when bad knees act up and bad days when I just don’t feel like it… today as I breathe in and exhale out it is all good. I will intentionally think on the Good and thank God for it. I will reach out to someone today just because. Tomorrow is not promised but we still have today and that’s a good thing.

Romans 8:26-28 (MESSAGE TRANSLATION) 26-28 Meanwhile, the moment we get tired in the waiting, God’s Spirit is right alongside helping us along. If we don’t know how or what to pray, it doesn’t matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans. He knows us far better than we know ourselves, knows our pregnant condition, and keeps us present before God. That’s why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good.
