When I think of all the ways Breast Cancer an affect us, I am reminded of my own mother fighting and surviving a couple of years ago. We are each full of stories — stories of survival, caregiving, loss, and courage. Whether you’re in the fight, standing beside someone who is, or remembering someone who finished their race — you are not alone.

In today’s blog post I want to gather my pen as sisters, as supporters, and as survivors — each of us carrying stories that matter. Some of you are in the fight right now. Some of you are celebrating survival. Some are caring for loved ones, and others are honoring and remembering those who’ve finished their race.
No matter where you stand — this message of hope is for you. 💕
As I thought about Breast Cancer Awareness this month, I went right to a scripture that encourages me in any and all circumstances of which we find ourselves today in multiple circumstances.
Philippians 4:8 reminds us that our peace begins in our thoughts. It says, “Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable — if anything is excellent or praiseworthy — think on these things.”
This verse doesn’t deny the pain, but it gives us a focus point — a way to breathe hope into hard places. It doesn’t ignore our pain — it redirects our focus. It says, you get to choose what you meditate on.Because where your thoughts go, your peace will follow.
1. For the Fighters — “Think on What Is True”
When the body feels weak, and the journey feels long, remember what is true: You are still here. You are still loved. You are still powerful.Even in treatment, fatigue, or fear, the truth of God’s word stands: You are fearfully and wonderfully made.Let your truth be louder than your test.
Here’s my encouragement to you:
You are stronger than the storm you’re standing in.
Every morning, declare: “I am still standing in truth. My faith is stronger than my fear.”
2. For the Survivors of Breast Cancer — “Think on What Is Lovely”
You carry living proof that hope wins. Your scars tell a story that beauty can rise from broken places. They are not signs of defeat — they are reminders that healing is real.Think on the lovely things — the laughter that returned, the people who showed up, the peace you didn’t think you’d find again.Your life is a love letter to someone who’s still fighting.
🕊 Encouragement: Remember — your survival wasn’t luck or happenstance. It was purpose.
3. For the Caregivers — “Think on What Is Noble”
You are the unsung heroes. You’ve stood in hospital rooms, prayed in parking lots, and held hands when you were tired yourself.
Take time to breathe, rest, and receive the same grace you pour out.Your care and compassion is holy work.
Your love reflects the heart of Christ — faithful, patient, steady. Here’s my encouragement to you: Don’t forget to breathe, rest, and receive the same grace you give.
4. For Those Who’ve Lost Loved Ones — “Think on What Is Pure”
I know the ache of missing someone who fought so bravely. Grief is love that has nowhere to go. But purity lives in memory — in the laughter that still echoes, the lessons that remain, the love that never dies. Think on the pure moments — the smile, the voice, the faith they left behind. Their story didn’t end; it was fulfilled.
Here is my encouragement to you: God bottles every tear and still writes beauty from ashes.
So, no matter where you stand — fighter, survivor, caregiver, or griever — Philippians 4:8 invites us all to guard our minds with gratitude and hope. When you can’t change what’s happening, change what you’re thinking about it. Because what we think about grows.Let’s choose to think on these things — Faith, Hope, Love, and Life — not just for ourselves, but for every sister standing beside us.Faith that moves mountains. Hope that defies fear. Love that heals wounds. Life that refuses to quit. This is our declaration. This is our victory. This is our why. Because when our minds stay on what’s pure, our hearts stay anchored in peace. And that — that’s how we keep going. 💖 Thank you.
