A Look Back

2025 was a year of movement, growth, and grace.
It all started with a yes I gave the Lord at the beginning of January 2025 and partnering with Lecia to bring Get Up Gurl to life—not only for myself, but for the countless women who have shared with me how Get Up Gurl shifted something in them. It truly changed the trajectory of the rest of the year. This has been one of the most impactful years of my life.
This year took me places—physically, professionally, and spiritually. ✈️
I traveled often and with purpose as ValUAdded Coaching & Consulting welcomed new clients and expanded its reach. I had the honor of facilitating multiple training and development opportunities—from Jack & Jill, to Champaign School District, to the Urban League, and student leadership programs shaping the next generation.
I stepped into speaking engagements and partnerships with organizations committed to growth, equity, and impact, including Save Our Sisters, The Links, and the ESLAC Delta Founders Day event. I traveled to Cancun, the Bahamas, Miami, New Orleans, Oakland, Napa Valley, Los Angeles, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Chicago, Nashville, Buffalo, Louisville, and New York City just to name a few.
I also helped host the Global Leadership Summit at New Life, alongside three other powerful community moments—our Block Party, Education Sunday, and Angel Tree—all tremendous successes made possible by our amazing staff and volunteers. New Life continues to open doors and change lives, and this year I was ordained as an Elder in the Lord’s Church at New Life. I was also honored to assist Bishop with iLead and CLM endeavors.
On a personal note, I celebrated love and legacy—going on my first cruise with Isadore for our 10-year wedding anniversary ❤️ (we had the best time!). Since our honeymoon to Maui - it was the best vacation we have had! I adore Isadore - but CRUISE ISADORE is even more amazing and I can't wait to get him back out on the high seas! I traveled with our daughter Carmen six times this year and had a blast. I helped her get her podcast "But Did YOU Die Though up and running and we just uploaded the 10th episode! She had some amazing firsts this year and we are proud of her. I walked with my son through some meaningful moments, and am grateful to celebrate his 33rd birthday—his Jesus year. He had some setbacks but God is still in control and 2026 will be his year!
Grateful for every mile, every assignment, every yes, and every moment that stretched me.
2025—you were full. And I’m thankful.
