Vision While Snowed In

Using These 48 Hours for Good!

Sometimes God gives us a pause we didn’t plan for. We call it snowed in — but Holy Spirit sometimes calls it set apart. When the calendar clears, the commute stops, the meetings cancel, and everything slows down, we suddenly find ourselves with something many of us say we don’t have: Time.

And when you’re working from a Vision B.O.A.R.D.™ — not just a collage of pretty wishes — that unexpected time becomes a gift you can actually steward.

If you have been in a Vision BOARD party with me - you know the deal, If not - don't worry I have my next book coming soon to break it all down to you. Long and short, if you have done a board with me or not - its January and you have likely set some goals for yourself. Right now just focus on the most pressing one that you can do in 30 days or less. My Vision B.O.A.R.D.™ process, causes you to know think through 5 core questions:

• B = Believe (Do you Believe what has God shown you?)

• O = Organize (How will you Organize it to fit into your life?)

• A = Accountability (Who keeps you honest?)

• R = Reality-Based (What’s actually possible this first 30 days - first quarter at the most?)

• D = Destiny (How is your PURPOSE connected to where this is taking you?)

But here’s the part most people forget:

The center of the board carries your First 30 Days Assignment.

Not the five-year dream. Not the “one day when life opens up” plan. Not the next quarter.

The first 30 days. Why? Because momentum builds encouragement for the next thing and the thing after that. If you can get movement in 30 days, you can get traction in 60. If you can get traction in 60, you can get breakthrough in 90. And if you can get breakthrough in 90…you’re not dreaming anymore — you’re building.

So Now You’re Snowed In… Now What?

If you’re going to be in the house for the next 48 hours, ask yourself:

“What can I put a dent in on my First 30 Days Assignment?”

Not finish. Not perfect. Just put a dent in it Sis!

Snow days will test a woman’s priorities:

• Purpose says: “Work your 30-day assignment.”

• Netflix says: “Let’s binge one season… or seven.”

One of those voices leads to destiny. The other one leads to crumbs on your shirt. 😂

Choose wisely.

Examples:

✔ Map it ✔ Research it ✔ Draft it ✔ Email someone about it ✔ Outline it

✔ Clean up the space for it ✔ Organize the tools for it ✔ Make the call about it

✔ Create the document for it ✔ Pray into it ✔ Prioritize it ✔ Plan it

Momentum rarely starts with fireworks — it starts with dents.

Also: There’s Quiet in Snow

One of the most underrated pieces of execution is listening. We talk about clarity like it’s a mystical experience, but sometimes clarity comes when you’re stuck at home with nothing but:

• your thoughts

• your planner

• your vision

• and your Father

Scripture says:

“He who has ears, let him hear.”— Matthew 11:15

And hearing often requires stillness — something our normal pace doesn’t give us. So while you’re snowed in: Get quiet; Get honest; Get clear; Get instructions.

Vision without instruction leads to frustration. Vision with instruction leads to execution and that's what it's time to do. So instead of scrolling the hours away…Give your future self something to thank you for.

Put a dent in destiny. Put a dent in the assignment. Put a dent in the thing you wrote in the center of the board. Put a dent in the thing you wrote in your journal on Jan 1.

You’re snowed in — but you’re not stuck. Sometimes the Lord doesn’t say:

“Be still and know that I am God.”

Sometimes He just sends a snowstorm and says:

“Be still… because you’re not going anywhere anyway.”

Use the time. Put in a dent in the assignment. LOL
