Take a look at this definition of what happens in the mind. Your mind is the property of consciousness that hold the memories of the experiences of consciousness. The mind synthesizes and assimilates all that has been experienced into a view or perspective from which consciousness perceives life. Based on that perspective, consciousness makes choices, decisions, judgments about yourself and others and the like. That consciousness then provides input to your mind to assimilate the experience. This new experience causes the mind to either change or strengthen the perspective it has. If you think about this process for a moment, you can see how very quickly mind can cause consciousness to develop a very narrow and fixed view of life.
Now think about what limitations there are in that thinking when it comes to what we actually pursue and how much we value ourselves and what we are capable of. The Bible says “as a man thinks...so is he.” I want to offer this. When we THINK HIGHER and are intentional in doing so, we elevate our thinking. We also change that consciousness from what’s there in the natural to what’s possible in the spiritual WITH GOD. When we shape our minds only around our literal abilities and experiences involving other mere humans we will begin to lock out what God can do and who He is in the equation. I submit to you this must be done in regular intervals to be effective because we can get stuck so easily with one or two wrong thoughts. That’s the hope of the enemy everyday: to make you feel inadequate, unworthy, alone, and stuck. But God! Today! Be free My sister or My brother! Allow the word of God to release anything from your past that has affected your distorted outlook of your self worth! You are worthy of love. You are enough. You are not who THEY say or measured by any other standard but what God says.
Proverbs 3:15 says She is more precious than rubies;
Deuteronomy 32:10 says ...In a desert land he found him, in a barren and howling waste. He shielded him and cared for him; he guarded him as the apple of his eye,
Think higher right now and free your mind! Philippians 4:8 says it best...”Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things."
